Hello Everyone,
I am so excited to be in 3rd grade at Forest Creek. I have been teaching for over 9 years. This is my fifth year in 3rd grade at Forest Creek. I have worked in RtI as an Educational Assistant, and before that I taught 3rd and 4th grades in Indiana.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Bill, for over 25 years. Bill has been a store manager for Helzberg Diamonds for over 17 years. He currently works in the Barton Creek Square Mall. We have two sons. Nicholas is 23 and attends Austin Community College and works at Lamb's Automotive in Georgetown. Joshua is 21 and works for the Travis County Sheriff's Department. I also have a 2-year old grandson, Casey. He and Joshua live with us. It is wonderful having a little one in the house again! We have two dogs. Charlie is a dachshund and is 10 years old. Hershey is also a dachshund and is 3 years old. In the past we have had rabbits, bearded dragons, and even a pig (housed at Stony Point in the barn). We love animals!!
I am very proud of my family and we like to spend time together. We watch movies, go out to eat, and have fun laughing together. I also like to spend any spare time I have reading good books. My husband grows a vegetable garden, and I have been able to keep my flowers blooming all summer (even in the heat!).
I am looking forward to getting to know all of my students. I know we are going to have a great year and learn a lot!!
